Alcatraz Versus the Shattered Lens by Brandon Sanderson

To read my reviews of the other books in this series then please click on the following links: Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians, Alcatraz Versus the Scrivener's Bones, and Alcatraz Versus the Knights of Crystallia.

Title: Alcatraz Versus the Shattered Lens (Book 4 of the Alcatraz series)
Author: Brandon Sanderson
Reviewer: Karen
Genre: Mid-Grade Fantasy
Rating: Fabulous
Alerts/Warnings: Clean violence (you know a battle is happening, but nothing gory is described)
Premise: "When a hero is needed to save the doomed kingdom of Mokia from the evil Librarians, thirteen-year-old Alcatraz Smedry, whose family talents include getting lost and breaking things, answers the call." (King County Library System)
Opinions: This book is amazing. In fact the whole series is amazing. If you have a warped sense of humor (or appreciate a warped sense of humor) then this is the series for you. The humor drives this book and is zany and yet the characters still learn about inner strength and the difficulty of choices throughout. In fact, I have a step-son who is not fond of reading and I convinced him to read the first book in this series and he LOVED it and now wants to read the whole series. I'm not sure I can give a more glowing review than that.
