Opinions: The fantastical world opened in this book (the first of a series) is similar in feeling to Twilight or Harry Potter. A seemingly ordinary teenager is suddenly and intimately acquainted with a whole new side of life that she never imagined possible. I loved the rich characters and the fast-moving, intricate plot, with unexpected twists and turns that had my heart racing.
